sun in this elaborately ripe Cabernet. It blasts off in an eruption of blackberries and cherries that are so powerful, they veer into the liqueur versions of these fruits. Despite potent mountain tannins, it's drinkable now, and will pair just fine with a great steak, simply grilled, salted and peppered. 91 points"

Flamboyantly perfumed bouquet of blackcurrant, cherry-cola, licorice and cracked pepper, along with a hint of smokiness. Deeply pitched flavors of dark fruits and candied flowers are given clarity by juicy acidity. Intense, focused and persistent on the chewy finish, which echoes the dark fruit notes and leaves a subtle smoky quality behind. 90 points."
